A short history of Lancia: Lancia Automobiles S.p.A. (Italian pronunciation: [ˈlantʃa]) is an Italian automobile manufacturer founded in 1906 by Vincenzo Lancia and which became part of the Fiat Group in 1969. The company has a long history of producing distinctive cars and also has a strong rally heritage. Modern Lancias are seen as presenting a more luxurious alternative to the models in the Fiat range upon which they are based. One of the firm's trademarks is the use of letters of the Greek alphabet as the names of its models.

One of the cars that has placed Lancia's brand in every car enthusiasts mind is the STRATOS HF or widely knows as the Lancia Stratos. The Stratos was a very successful rally car during the 1970s and early 1980s. It started a new era in rallying as it was the first car designed from scratch for this kind of competition.[2] The three leading men behind the entire rallying project were Lancia team manager Cesare Fiorio, British racer/engineer Mike Parkes and factory rally driver Sandro Munari. This car has made it's name by proving itself in the battlefield of racing. So it would be great if we would be seeing another Stratos come to the modern world or automobiles... Luckily, a man was listening...
His name is Michael Stoschek. He simply came to Pininfarina and said he wanted to commission a project to build a one-off successor of the great Lancia Stratos....
Based of the Ferrari F430 Scuderia the project went on....
