//:: The Michael Schumacher World Champion Tower?

So what does the 7 time Formula One World Champion have in mind after leaving Formula One? You see because he is still connected with Ferrari... working on the race and road cars, that means it's unlikely for him to put up his own F1 team like former F1 drivers Sir Jackie Stewart or Gerhard Berger and so on... How about? Putting up a charity like most Hollywood faces do? Or create his own racing series?

Hmmm... Well no! None of it will work for Michael Schumacher. You see Formula 1 is an open floodgate of money. Drivers are paid a millionsssssss and millionsssss of Euros each year. That includes the team salary, sponsorship money, TV appearances and so on and so on....

How about building a billion dollar wharf skyscraper! A skyscraper where the super-rich will be able to live in unrivalled plushness. Wanna know where he's building it? In Abu Dhabi!A few known facts about the skyscraper:
1.) It will be one of the 7 luxurious skyscrapers Michael will be building (Mind you, each one of them will represent Michael Schumacher’s championships)
2.) This 1 will stand 787 feet tall
3.) 60 floors and 40 apartments and will be constructed on it's own island.

In three (3) years, you'll be able to buy a swanky apartment at the Michael Schumacher World Champion Tower in Abu Dhabi. Andddddd, like on the track he doesn't like to give it just a go and ease it a bit ... He always drives full on and flat out! So... (4.)you'll be able to park your yacht outside (making it the world's first wharf skyscraper), the (5)underground car park is set in an aquarium and there's (6)tennis courts and a driving range 115 meters in the air.

"Sooo... dreaming now? ... I bet your hoping now that your Paris Hilton's brother aeeey?"

//:: A Ring of Fire: Solar Eclipse

Only a few lucky people in the Indian Ocean will be treated to a rare event on Monday when an annular solar eclipse will turns the largest ball of fire called the Sun into a dark disc with a blazing ring-shaped corona around its rim.According to a chap called Fred Espenak, a veteran NASA eclipse-watcher. The total eclipse track will run from west to east on Monday from 0606 GMT to 0952 GMT.

It will traverse the Indian Ocean and western Indonesia before petering out just short of Mindanao, the Philippines.

How unlucky could we get? It's been years since I last witnessed this extraordinary event. I was like 10 back then...

The partial eclipse will be seen in a much wider swathe, including the southern third of Africa, Madagascar, Australia, Southeast India, Southeast Asia and Indonesia.

"So.... are you a Photo Journalist? Yeah right! I think I know where this is going now!"

It will be the only annular solar eclipse this year. The last was on 7 February, 2007, and after Monday, the next one will be on 15 January, 2010.

The big event for eclipse junkies this year is on July 22, when a total solar eclipse will be visible from India and China, the world's two most populous countries.

//:: Comparing the 2008 and 2009 F1 design

When the engineers went back to the drawing board to re-designed their 2009 cars. Everyone started to wonder what the 2009 design would look like .... A lot of them kept on telling us that it's going to be really different from the 2008 car mainly and very noticeable to the eye are the front and rear wings. The front will now be more lower and much wider while the rear wing will be narrower and taller. We've all had different imaginations about the cars and yet no one can really tell how much it looks so different from the cars of last year.

This year has been one of the biggest change in Formula One. Engineers literally have to start from scratch. All of the teams are running cars that are not the evolution of the previous design...

So here a chance for us to see side by side the design of 2009 compared to the design of 2008.

//:: The Ferrari F60 ... Title defender for the F1 2009 season

...and Ferrari has done it again! Scuderia Ferrari has officially launched their title defender for 2009 called the F60. Sticking to a game plan of releasing it early then develope it! It is the machine that will be driven by Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen as they defend the Italian squad's 2008 constructors' title.

In line with revisions to the Formula One regulations for 2009, the F60 features a lower, wider front wing and a taller, narrower rear wing. Its name commemorates what will be Ferrari’s 60th F1 campaign.

The F60 is the 55th single-seater produced by Ferrari to contest the world championship and it will make its track debut on Monday afternoon at the team's Mugello circuit, with Massa behind the wheel.

The new car has far fewer aerodynamic appendages on its bodywork compared to its predecessor, due to the rule changes designed to cut downforce and promote more overtaking, with the driver now able to make minor front wing adjustments from the cockpit. The F60’s suspension and layout has also been completely reconfigured as a result, in order to maintain optimum weight distribution.

The F60’s design also takes into account two other major rule changes - the return of slick tyres and the option to use a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS). Ferrari’s KERS has been designed in collaboration with Magneti Marelli and is centrally mounted on the engine under the rear part of the chassis.

The car’s seven-speed transmission has been redesigned to optimise its aerodynamic efficiency, while Ferrari’s Type 056 V8 has been modified in accordance with the new ruling that requires engines to last for three Grand Prix meetings from 2009, with rev limits cut from 19,000 to 18,000 rpm.

//:: Festa Di Moda with DJ Tone

Was a month ago when I got a call from an old friend (Erwin Yumo) who offered a gig for me. They call it "Festa di Moda" An ultimate year end fashion & music party December 26, 2008. The event was held at Moffs in Butuan city which partnered with Erwin and Carmen of "Eventology 8600".

Eventology 8600 is an event organizing company who specializes in Dance Parties, Weddings, Product Launchings, etc. you may contract them through +63 917 9020410 (Carmen) or +63 9183623486 (Erwin).

Anyway, the event!

It started around 8PM where DJ Roy of Butuan started the night with bumpy house music to set the mood a bit and fire up the night. Models ramped it out for 4 sets. Crowd enjoying the music and loving the clothes carried out by the models.

Was still in my hotel room resting and sleeping till I got the message from Carmen that i will be picked up around 12 cause my set starts around 1230 so I got my gear ready and set off. Once I got to the place was abit shocked everybody was just sittin down and drinking all that boozzzzz. I was talking to Jerry (El Quinto Drumbeaters) "What's going on man? No one is even up!" I knew it was gonna be abit hard to make even somebody dance if you have that kind of mood. Luckily however, When I got up on stage to play models went out too to show off the new fashion forecast for 2009. So somehow the models did help the crowd to get up and cheer along and somehow gave me confidence to play up on stage and try to find the right track for them. Once I got the hang of it and identified the track they like to dance with ... I just went all along with it .....

Mind you I had to open the older cd's but it was fun :) You can't really play the new releases right away always. :) Sometimes you have to first give them what they want. Once you get them moving and then your in control? Then you can play the new songs that you like ... It's for the crowd to know ... it's you as a DJ to teach them what clubbing is ..... Music is for everybody :) Not just for you :)

Thank you Eventology 8600 and Moffs Bar! The night was great. With the crowd moving and dancing it just made that night a lot warmer and brighter :)
